If several replies use the same sign-off, link them to one saved source snippet. When you save a change to that source, the linked replies can use the updated content.

Save the common content as its own snippet first. In the reply that will use it, choose Insert → Linked Snippet and select the source. Position the linked block using its arrows, then Preview and Save.

For example, save a Support sign-off snippet containing your team’s closing text. Link it at the end of several replies. Change and save Support sign-off, then preview one of those replies to check that the update appears.

The link refers to the saved source, so unfinished edits to that source are not active. Tapiri rejects circular references. If a source is missing, restore it or replace the link before using the dependent template.

Make a copy that can change independently

Choose Insert → Independent Copy when you want the source’s content as a starting point. Later edits to that source do not update the copied content.

Inspect the resulting blocks. If the copied source already contains links to other snippets, those references can remain links; review them if you need a completely self-contained template.

Edit template syntax

The visual editor is sufficient for ordinary authoring. To inspect or edit the structured representation, open the More menu beside Preview and choose Edit Syntax.

A minimal example is:

template 1
text {"value":"Hello "}
field {"label":"Name","default":"Ada"}
text {"value":"!\n"}
date {"format":"date"}

Use one directive per line. Each directive is followed by a JSON object. Start with template 1; use quoted strings and escape line breaks as \n. Blank lines and lines beginning with # are ignored.

Expand Syntax help for supported examples. Other directives include clipboard, cursor, section, repeat, calculate, link, and image. Keep generated IDs when editing an existing template: repeated fields, calculations, and sections can depend on them.

Saved source IDs for links lists the IDs for link targets. Images reference existing local asset IDs. Use the visual editor to import an image or change formatting instead of inventing those values.

Apply, preview, and save

Click Preview to inspect valid syntax with sample answers. Apply to Draft brings the changes back to the visual editor; it does not activate the saved snippet. Review the blocks and click Save in the dashboard.

Unapplied syntax is kept only while its editor is open. If you cancel after making changes, read the discard prompt. Comments are not retained after applying, and unsupported settings produce an error rather than being silently accepted.
