Terms of Service

1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Tapiri and form an agreement between you and Okikelabs Technologies Ltd., the operator of Tapiri. “Tapiri,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator; “you” refers to the person or organization using the application or purchasing access.
The terms cover the Tapiri application, tapiriapp.com, and associated licenses, purchases, and support. By accepting these terms or installing or using Tapiri after they have been made available to you, you agree to them to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app. Purchase-specific terms must be presented before checkout; access to a public legal page does not replace any express acceptance required by law.
A purchase confirmation can specify the plan, term, number of users or devices, price, and included benefits. Those specific purchase details govern that purchase where they differ from general descriptions. Mandatory consumer rights always take priority over conflicting contractual wording. Our Privacy Policy separately explains information handling; accepting these terms is not unrestricted consent to processing personal information.
2. Eligibility and business use
You must have legal capacity to enter the applicable agreement, or valid authorization from a person permitted to act for you. If you obtain Tapiri for a company or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it and to install or use the software on its devices.
You are responsible for following workplace policies governing software installation, system permissions, confidential information, and customer data. Buying a personal license does not automatically grant an organization unlimited users or deployments. A personal license covers your personal and professional use. It is not a shared license for multiple people.
3. What Tapiri provides
Tapiri is a text expansion tool. It lets you save frequently used text as snippets, associate text with shortcuts, find saved content, and insert it into compatible applications. Features may include formatted snippets, templates, and dynamic content as described for your version and plan.
You remain responsible for reviewing inserted text before sending a message, submitting a form, or saving a document. A shortcut can insert wording quickly; it does not determine whether that wording is accurate, current, appropriate, or authorized for the recipient. In particular, check names, amounts, dates, links, and information intended for a specific customer.
Tapiri is not a substitute for professional review of legal, medical, financial, or other consequential content. This does not excuse us from providing the functionality and quality required by your purchase and applicable law.
4. Your license
Subject to your purchased entitlement and these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to install and use Tapiri for your own personal or internal business purposes on authorized devices. The software is licensed, not sold; you retain the rights in your own content.
Your personal license covers one person’s use on up to 3 Macs at a time. You can deactivate a Mac through its license settings to free a slot before activating another Mac. A lifetime license supplies perpetual personal Mac use and the update rights described below. Purchase activation requires an internet connection. A separate Tapiri account is not required, but your purchase email and license key are used for purchase administration.
Keep license credentials reasonably secure and contact us if you believe they have been compromised. You may make backups permitted by law. Restrictions in these terms do not override statutory rights to interoperability, permitted reverse engineering, or applicable open-source licenses.
5. Your content and responsibilities
You retain ownership of the snippets, templates, text, and other material you create or import. Using Tapiri does not assign that content to us or give us a general right to publish, sell, or train models on it.
You must have the rights or permissions needed to store and use the content. This includes respecting confidentiality obligations, intellectual-property rights, and the privacy of people whose information appears in your snippets. Avoid storing passwords or other secrets unless you have assessed whether the app’s actual protections meet your needs.
You are responsible for maintaining backups and reviewing the destination of inserted text. Exported files and system backups may contain the same sensitive information as your snippet library. Do not assume that uninstalling the app removes every copy.
Scripts, imports, and backups
Executable snippets require your explicit approval. Imported scripts start disabled, and saving a source change requires renewed trust. Review linked dependencies as well as the top-level script: approval of one script does not approve every script it references.
Trusted scripts run with your user privileges, without a security sandbox. They may read or change files, run commands, or contact external services. Cancellation and text Undo cannot reverse completed file changes, payments, messages, or network actions. Only approve code you understand and are authorized to run. Tapiri’s trust checks are not a guarantee that a script is safe.
A full-library restore replaces saved library state and clears script approvals. It may also remove content created after the backup being restored. Local backups are recovery copies on the same computer, not protection against losing the computer or drive. Review restore confirmations and keep independent backups where needed.
If you voluntarily send sample content to support, you authorize us to use that material only as reasonably necessary to investigate and respond to your request, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law. Use fictional or redacted examples wherever practical.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Tapiri or its associated services to:
- Carry out unlawful activity or infringe another person’s rights.
- Distribute malicious software, conduct fraud, or impersonate another person deceptively.
- Send unlawful spam or use inserted content to harass, threaten, or exploit others.
- Obtain unauthorized access to our systems or interfere with their availability or security.
- Circumvent license controls, fraudulently claim trial access, or distribute unauthorized license credentials.
- Resell or redistribute the proprietary application except where expressly permitted or required by law.
- Remove ownership notices or misrepresent a modified application as an official Tapiri release.
These restrictions address misuse; they do not prohibit good-faith reporting of a vulnerability, lawful interoperability work, or other activity protected by applicable law. Contact hello@tapiriapp.com to report a security concern without publicly exposing other users’ information.
7. Trials, orders, and payment
Free trial
Tapiri provides a seven-calendar-day trial of all personal Mac features with unlimited snippets. It begins automatically when you finish or skip setup in the app. No payment card or separate Tapiri account is required. You must make a separate purchase to continue paid functionality after the trial.
When trial access expires, automatic expansion and executable or dynamic functionality require an active paid license. You retain access to your saved library, including viewing, editing, copying stored content, and exporting it. Copying stored content does not execute scripts or resolve paid dynamic functions.
Plans and checkout
The current personal Mac offer is:
| Plan | Current price in USD | Entitlement |
|---|---|---|
| Lifetime | $9 once | Perpetual personal Mac use and all future updates to that product, including major versions |
Review the actual price, currency, billing interval, applicable taxes, any discount, and final total at checkout before paying. An accepted promotional offer or purchase confirmation controls the price for that purchase; later price changes do not alter a completed one-time purchase.
New purchases currently offer lifetime access only.Purchases are processed through Creem as merchant of record. Creem handles checkout, payment collection, and applicable tax and invoicing responsibilities. Its Buyer Terms apply to the transaction and its customer services. These Tapiri terms govern use of the application and the product entitlements we provide. Nothing here displaces mandatory rights or Creem’s obligations to you.
You agree to provide accurate billing information and use an authorized payment method. If a payment fails, we may request an updated method and explain the effect on access. We will not impose undisclosed charges or change an already-completed order’s price without an appropriate basis and notice.
9. One-time and lifetime purchases
The $9 lifetime personal Mac license is a one-time purchase for perpetual use of the personal Mac product and all future updates to that product, including major versions.
Lifetime access does not include separately developed mobile products, team products, or hosted services. We will not turn future updates to the personal Mac product into paid upgrades for lifetime customers. It does not promise that development will continue indefinitely or that the app will support every future macOS version.
The lifetime entitlement does not expire periodically. Initial activation and device-management operations require an internet connection; ordinary use relies on the saved entitlement. Refunds, valid revocation, and your deactivation of a device can withdraw the relevant rights.
If the product or a necessary service is discontinued, your rights remain subject to the original offer and applicable law. This provision is not a blanket right to remove perpetual access without notice or any remedy required by law.
10. Refunds and consumer rights
Tapiri offers a 30-day money-back guarantee from your initial purchase, including a lifetime purchase. Request a refund within that period if Tapiri is not right for you. Any statutory refund rights or more favorable express offer still apply.
To request a refund, email hello@tapiriapp.com with your purchase email and order reference. We may ask for the information necessary to identify the transaction. Do not send your full payment-card number. Refunds are handled through Creem, and the time for funds to appear depends on the payment method and financial institution. We will explain any transaction-specific issue rather than promise a settlement date outside our control.
When a purchase is refunded, the corresponding paid entitlement may end. Your ownership of your snippets remains unchanged.
The voluntary guarantee is additional to mandatory rights concerning defective software, misdescription, cancellation, or other remedies. Some consumers have a statutory withdrawal period for distance purchases. Where immediate digital delivery affects that right, any required express consent and acknowledgment must be obtained separately through the purchase process. Merely mentioning a waiver in these terms does not remove a statutory right.
11. Updates, compatibility, and support
System requirements and supported operating-system versions should be checked before purchase. Text insertion can depend on application behavior, accessibility permissions, security restrictions, and operating-system changes. Protected input fields or particular third-party applications may not accept automated insertion.
We may provide fixes, security updates, and feature improvements. Tapiri’s Sparkle updater has automatic checking disabled by default; you may opt in through settings or check manually. Downloading and installing an update requires your deliberate choice. The app can postpone installation while scripts, forms, insertion, or library maintenance are active, and unsaved work must be handled before relaunch. Update availability depends on the release’s configured update service.
We will not use updates to remove paid benefits contrary to your purchase or mandatory law. Where a material change affects your use, we will provide the notice and remedies required by the applicable agreement and law. Necessary security updates may require prompt installation.
Contact support with your app version, operating-system version, and a redacted description of the issue. Support availability does not imply a guaranteed response time or service-level agreement unless one is expressly purchased. Beta or preview features should be identified as such and may have limitations, without excluding non-waivable legal rights.
12. Third-party services
Tapiri interacts with applications chosen by you and links to external services, including other products and AI assistants. Third parties operate independently under their own terms. Text you paste into an external service is subject to that service’s practices.
An “Ask AI” link is a convenience, not a guarantee that the provider’s response is accurate or independent of the wording of the prompt. Review any response against the actual product documentation and purchase offer. Footer tracking parameters identify the source of a visit as described in our Privacy Policy.
We are responsible for our own representations and legally attributable conduct. We do not control unrelated third-party changes, outages, or policies, and these terms do not make those providers parties to your Tapiri agreement.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes the distinction between locally stored snippets and information involved in website visits, purchases, licensing, or support. System permissions should be used only for the functions disclosed to you.
Nothing in these terms grants unrestricted access to your content, authorizes undisclosed monitoring, or replaces a consent request required by privacy law. Paid licensing contacts our API and Creem, while ordinary snippet expansion remains local. Optional support diagnostics are reviewed and shared by you. Scripts you approve can access external services as described above.
14. Intellectual property and feedback
We or our licensors retain rights in the Tapiri application, website design, branding, and original documentation. Your license permits use of the software; it does not transfer ownership of those assets. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their respective licenses and notices.
You may voluntarily send suggestions or feedback. We may consider and implement ideas without an obligation to pay for unsolicited suggestions, but this does not transfer ownership of your snippet library or authorize disclosure of confidential information. Do not send confidential ideas unless we have agreed to receive them on that basis.
15. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Tapiri at any time.
We may restrict a license or associated service where reasonably necessary to address non-payment, a material breach, credible fraud, a serious security risk, or a legal requirement. Where practical and appropriate, we will explain the issue and provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. Urgent action may be necessary where notice would create a security risk or violate law.
Any restriction should be proportionate to the issue. We will not claim ownership of your content because an agreement ends. Rights to refunds, paid access, and access to local content remain subject to the purchase terms and applicable law. Contact us if you believe a restriction was made in error.
Provisions that need to survive termination, such as accrued payment obligations, intellectual-property ownership, and the resolution of an existing dispute, continue only to the extent appropriate and lawful.
16. Warranties and responsibility for loss
We must supply Tapiri in accordance with the promises made in your purchase and any mandatory standards of quality, fitness, conformity, and reasonable care. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Beyond those commitments, we do not promise that software will be entirely error-free, available without interruption, or compatible with every third-party application. You should review inserted text and maintain appropriate backups. Those responsibilities do not eliminate our liability for a failure for which the law makes us responsible.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable from a breach, or problems caused solely by unauthorized modifications, misuse, or third-party systems outside our responsibility. Liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, or any other matter that cannot legally be limited remains unaffected.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, or prevents you from obtaining a statutory remedy. These terms do not impose a blanket indemnity obligation or a contractual monetary cap on rights that would otherwise apply.
17. Disputes and applicable law
If a dispute arises, contact hello@tapiriapp.com with the relevant order reference and a description of the problem. We encourage a good-faith attempt to resolve it, but contacting us is not a condition that prevents you from exercising an urgent or mandatory legal remedy.
Disputes may be brought before a court with competent jurisdiction. This does not require a consumer to give up any legally protected right to sue in their country of residence.
Mandatory consumer protections remain available under applicable law. These terms do not require arbitration, waive collective proceedings, or shorten statutory limitation periods.
18. Changes and general provisions
Later changes will state their effective date and show a revision date, and material changes affecting existing customers will receive appropriate notice. Changes do not retroactively reduce rights relating to a completed purchase or existing dispute. Where affirmative agreement is legally required, continued use alone will not replace it.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent they can operate lawfully and fairly. A failure to enforce a provision immediately is not necessarily a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
We may transfer the agreement as part of a lawful business transfer only in a way consistent with your contractual and statutory rights. No transfer authorizes reduced prepaid entitlements or undisclosed uses of your information. You may transfer a license only where your offer or applicable law permits.
These terms, together with the specific offer and order confirmation, form the agreement concerning the purchased service, without excluding representations or rights that the law requires us to honor. We may provide receipts and notices electronically using the contact information associated with your purchase.
