Use Recently Deleted to recover one snippet without replacing your whole library. Deleted snippets stay there for 30 days unless you permanently remove them sooner.
Move a snippet to Recently Deleted
Select the snippet in the dashboard, choose File → Move to Recently Deleted. Read the confirmation and check the snippet name before continuing.
The snippet leaves the active library. If another template links to it, that template may need attention: restore the source or remove the link before trying to use the dependent content.
Restore a snippet
- Select Recently Deleted in the sidebar.
- Find and select the snippet.
- Review its saved content and expiry information.
- Choose Restore Snippet.
- Return to All Snippets and check the restored entry.
Inspect its abbreviation, organization, and any linked content before using it again. If it does not appear in a filtered view, select All Snippets and clear the search.
Permanently remove a snippet
In Recently Deleted, select the entry and choose Delete Permanently. This removes the recovery route through Recently Deleted. Read the confirmation carefully before completing it.
The dialog can also identify whole-library recovery copies containing the snippet. Also remove these whole-library recovery copies removes those entire backups, including recovery history for other snippets. Leave it off if you want to retain those backups.
Copies exported elsewhere are independent files. Deleting an entry or managed backup does not remove exports on another drive.
If the recovery period has passed
Look for a personal export or local backup made before deletion. A library import adds or updates content, while restoring a local backup replaces the current library.
Prefer the smallest recovery action that fits the problem. Before restoring the whole library, review what will be replaced and preserve any newer saved content you need.
Images referenced by Recently Deleted remain in local image storage while the entries are retained. After those references are gone, unused files can be removed through Manage Image Storage.
